Who we are

Mark Burton grew up near Boyd, Illinois, a small town in southern Illinois. From a young age he was an avid outdoorsman and voraciously learned everything he could about being a hunter, fisherman and all around woodsman. He was fortunate to see the creation of the 18,000+ acre Rend Lake in the 60s. After its formation, Mark spent many days fishing it to learn all of its nooks and crannies. His diligence over the past 40+ years has paid off with many successes in hunting and fishing. Mark has thoroughly enjoyed taking his grandchildren, family and friends fishing over the years and now wants to share that with you as your personal Channel Catfish guide!

Sarah Burton grew up near Mt. Auburn, Illinois, a small central Illinois farming community and was raised on a grain and livestock farm. Slowly her father exposed her to hunting and fondly remembers pheasant hunts back when there were actually wild pheasants in Central Illinois! It wasn't until after college that Sarah made her way back into hunting and since then it has become her passion. She thoroughly enjoys the turkey woods, bow hunting whitetails and thanks to Mark, she's now "hooked" on fishing. Sarah focuses on booking your guided trips and marketing and is looking forward to helping you enjoy your trip!
